Science-based climate targets
As an important aspect of our work to drive the changes needed for delivering on the SDGs and the EU’s Green Deal, our short- and long-term climate targets are based in science and are validated and approved by Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi).
Our targets
Nearly 90 per cent of our total emissions comes from the use of our products. Fagerhult Group has established short- and long-term targets to reduce direct and indirect GHG emissions.
- The short-term targets that apply from 2021 to 2030 are reducing direct and indirect emissions (Scope 1 and Scope 2) by 70 per cent and reducing other indirect emissions (Scope 3) by 30 per cent.
- The Group also established a long-term science-based target of reaching net-zero GHG emissions by 2045. In 2023, our direct and indirect emissions (Scope 1 and Scope 2) declined 10 per cent. Other indirect emissions (Scope 3) declined 24 per cent.

About Science Based Targets initiative
The SBTi is a global initiative that allows companies to set ambitious targets for emissions reduction in line with the latest climate research. The focus is on increasing the rate of transition for companies to halve global emissions by 2030 and to become climateneutral by 2050. The initiative is a partnership between the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP), the UN Global Compact (UNGC), the World Resources Institute (WRI) and the World Wildlife Fund. It is also a part of the We Mean Business Coalition.
